Community Partners

We are placing a HUGE emphasis on the need to form partnerships with community members and businesses that will benefit our students in great ways.  For one thing, the Project Based Learning they do should have real-world connections.  We are counting on our community partners to show us how their jobs are done in the real world.  We hope that our students can also give back to the community.  Research shows that when students feel they are a part of a connected community they do better in school.

Husky C.A.P.S. stands for "Community Awareness and Partnerships with our School".  It is headed by Andrea Neptune and Dana Powell, who work with Susan Alasky, Leisha Elliott, Josie Plachta, and Christina Gouzd to promote our relationships with parents, community organizations, and businesses.
